Steel Castings and Metal Products Since 1952

Spokane Industries was founded as Spokane Steel Foundry in 1952 by the late John C. Tenold. Spokane Steel Foundry provided quality castings to local mines, ore mills, lumber industries and the construction industry. The foundry moved to the Spokane Industrial Park in 1965 where it remains today in an efficient, technologically advanced facility spanning approximately 250,000 square feet. In 2022, Spokane Industries, Inc. owners Greg and Tyrus Tenold sold the foundry business to Pat and Lisa Turner.

The Tenold brothers and the Turners completed the transaction on January 4, 2022, and the Turners have retained the workforce of Spokane Industries.

Pat and Lisa Turner of Spokane Industries manage the company’s two foundry operations, located at 3808 N. Sullivan, in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pat Turner’s 25 plus years of experience and expertise in mining and metallurgy is a perfect fit for Spokane Industries. Pat received a metallurgical engineering degree from the University of Arizona and MBA from the University of California Berkeley. Pat is the former President of the North American Region operations for FLSmidth & Co., a multinational engineering company based in Denmark for the Mining and Cement industries. Previously, he had served as President of Krebs Engineers, a company manufacturer of slurry pumps and other mining equipment which FLSmidth later acquired.

Lisa Turner studied Business Administration and marketing at San Jose State
University and has 20 plus years of experience as an owner of small businesses in Arizona where they raised their three children, Alex, Ian and Olivia. All three children went on to study Engineering at Colorado School of Mines.
